Internship Program Overview
The R4Creating Internship Program is a 12-week learning opportunity designed to give high school, college students, and graduate students hands-on experience in STEM, education, business, and creative disciplines. Interns will collaborate on real-world projects that support R4Creating’s mission and gain valuable professional skills for future career success.
Your Commitment, Your Reward: Internship Details
Program Dates: Mid-January – Mid-April 2026
Estimated Commitment and Pay: ~100 hours over 12 weeks
14+ to High School grad $15/hour, max $1500/semester
19-24 yo/enrolled in college $20/hour, max $2,000/semester
Masters/PhD students $25/hour, max $2,500/semester

Notification of Selection: Rolling selection notification through Mid-January 2025
Internship Focus Areas*
Applicants can indicate interest in up to three of the following areas:
3D Printing & Design (Hybrid): Work with 3D modeling tools, prototyping, and fabrication to support student innovation projects.
Media, Marketing & Content Creation (Hybrid or Remote): Develop digital content, manage web and social platforms, and support storytelling around STEM programs.
STEM Education & Outreach (Hybrid): Assist with after-school programs, community STEM events, and classroom support for hands-on learning.
Evaluation & Grant Writing (Remote): Support data collection, reporting, and research to strengthen program impact and sustainability.
Business Partnership Development (Hybrid): Engage with local businesses and organizations to expand community partnerships and workforce connections.

Eligibility
Current high school, college, or graduate students (any major welcome)
Minimum GPA of 2.5 preferred
Must reside in New Mexico*
Must be available for approximately 100 total internship hours over 12 weeks
Some positions may require in-person participation in Rio Rancho or other community sites
*If remote, you must reside in Northern New Mexico (Northern New Mexico encompasses San Miguel, Mora, Taos, Rio Arriba, Santa Fe, Los Alamos, and Sandoval counties, along with the 18 Pueblos, Tribes, and Nations in this region.)
