Robotics Training Institute (RTI)

RTI Summer 2026: Something New Every Summer

A Week of Artificial Intelligence, Robotics & Future Tech

The Artificial Intelligence Foundations and Robotics Camp at R4Creating returns in Summer 2026 with an immersive week focused on AI, Python programming, and mobile robotics. Open to high school students, the camp uses curriculum from the New Mexico Artificial Intelligence Academy (NMAIA) to introduce students to real-world AI concepts through hands-on coding, robotics challenges, and problem-solving activities.

Throughout the week, students will explore topics such as machine learning, data analysis, model training, robotics fundamentals, AI-enabled robotics, and responsible AI. Campers will write and test Python programs while seeing their code come to life through interactive robotics projects, building both technical skills and confidence.

📅 The camp runs July 27–31 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Applications are now open. If accepted, the registration fee is $100 and scholarships are available.

RTI returns in July! Application Deadline is June 13th

Last year we had fun! This next year will be something new!

Competitive teams

Competitive teams for the 2024-2025 Robotics and Aerial Drone Season are finalized! We are working on the schedule for next year and will be releasing information in our newsletter. If you haven’t signed up, please do so that we can keep you informed. Below is more information regarding the different teams. Keep in mind that when joining the competitive teams, team members are required to attend competitions.

  • Students participate in a STEM Entrepreneurial challenge where the robot is the "product". Members choose committees to be a part of including Robot build and program, CAD design, Fundraising, Marketing, Presentation, Exhibit Booth, Engineering Notebook and more. The competition is in the fall and the more time you put into the program, the more leadership and skill development the student achieves.
